Transportation

Public Transportation

Public transport in Taiwan is generally of a high quality and reasonably priced. Metro railway is available in the major cities such as Taipei and Kaohsiung. Taxes and buses are also convenient for getting around in Taiwan. For those who need frequent business travel, it is recommend to take Taiwan High Speed Railway (THSR) which only takes only one and half hour to travel from Hsinchu to Kaohsiung. What’s more exciting is that our offices in Hsinchu and Kaohsiung are both located nearby the THSR stations, which will save you tons of valuable time.

Driving

Before heading out for Taiwan, it is suggested to apply for international driving license and you will be eligible to drive in Taiwan for a period of time. Be sure to check the transferability here and change it into Taiwan driving License before the international one expires. Other than driving a car, you may notice scooters are everywhere in Taiwan due to limited parking space in the cities and also high mobility. To get the license for medium scooter and larger motorcycle (49cc and above), you need to take written exams about the traffic rules and pass the driving test.
