【Job Title】DRAM Marketing Manager

【Location】This position is located in either San Jose or Pleasanton, California

 

This position is responsible for driving technical and product marketing activities for Winbond’s DRAM business in North America.  This marketing manager will work closely with the DRAM business unit and the North American sales team to grow Winbond’s DRAM revenue and market penetration by establishing successful relationship with end customers and ecosystem partners.

 

【Responsibilities】

  • Establish and nurture long term, trusting relationships with key customers/accounts and ecosystem partners
  • Drive and lead the sales team to create a healthy opportunity pipeline in support of long term revenue growth
  • Work with sales and FAE teams to define account strategies balancing customer requirements and DRAM business unit objectives
  • Meet with customer and ecosystem partners to understand customer’ technical requirements and business needs and propose the best solution using Winbond’s broad portfolio of DRAM products
  • Design-in Winbond DRAM with end customers and leverage the factory application and engineering teams as needed
  • Promote and achieve product qualification of DRAM products with chipset partners through design-in for the AVL or verification on reference platforms 
  • Interact with relevant Winbond stakeholders, including factory marketing, engineering, and other regional sales teams to align business and product strategies
  • Deploy pricing strategy with the sales team to achieve business objectives and profitable growth
  • Monitor market, competitive, technology trends as they relate to the DRAM business and optimize strategy and tactics to achieve business objectives
  • Provide regular customer and ecosystem feedback and updates the business unit regarding product and technology roadmaps as well as application requirements
  • Analyze and forecast end customer demand for accuracy and continuity

 

【Tasks】

  • Identify, develop, or evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors.
  • Formulate, direct, or coordinate marketing activities or policies to promote products or services, working with advertising or promotion managers.
  • Direct the hiring, training, or performance evaluations of marketing or sales staff and oversee their daily activities. (BD/HQ)
  • Consult with product development personnel on product specifications such as design, color, or packaging.
  • Use sales forecasting or strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, lines, or services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors or distributors to manage product distribution, establishing distribution networks or developing distribution strategies. (BD/HQ)
  • Coordinate or participate in promotional activities or trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, or production managers, to market products or services.
  • Initiate market research studies or analyze their findings. (BD/HQ)
  • Confer with legal staff to resolve problems, such as copyright infringement or royalty sharing with outside producers or distributors.
  • Consult with buying personnel to gain advice regarding the types of products or services expected to be in demand.(BD)
  • Consult with buying personnel to gain advice regarding environmentally sound or sustainable products.(Biz OP)
  • Conduct economic or commercial surveys to identify potential markets for products or services.(BD)
  • Recommend modifications to products, packaging, production processes, or other characteristics to improve the environmental soundness or sustainability of products.
  • Advise business or other groups on local, national, or international factors affecting the buying or selling of products or services. (Marketing)
  • Select products or accessories to be displayed at trade or special production shows.
  • Develop business cases for environmental marketing strategies.
     

【Requirements】

  • At least 7 years of experience in engineering and technical or product marketing or business development with at least 3 of the 7 years in a technical position
  • Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills is a must
  • Strong listening skills with the ability for advising and influencing to achieve business goals
  • Fluent with Microsoft office tool with strong Powerpoint and Excel skills
  • Be a self-starter,  a proactive team player, and extremely dedicated
  • Strong customer orientation providing timely and comprehensive support
  • Keen eye for business with the ability to evaluate opportunities and return-on-investment for customized product solutions
  • Good understanding of technical requirements and application needs
  • Ability to coordinate cross functional activities between different teams across regionsAbility to freely travel domestically and internationally
  • Prior design or product engineering experience is a plus especially in board-level designs using MCU or SoCs
  • Knowledge of DRAM products and technology is a plus
