Interview
Interview will be carried out either face to face or online. There may be more than one interview depending on the position.
Outcome
The result will be confirmed in 2~3 weeks after the interview and the applicant will receive an offer letter via e-mail.

What to expect
Usually there will be more than 1~2 interviews, and each interview will take about 60~90 minutes(tests included). The tests take approximately 10~40 minutes and the items such as personality/English proficiency/logic/present skills may vary by job requirements. Please confirm the test items when you receive the interview invitation from the our recruiter.

  • Prior to the interview, please take some time to learn about Winbond with regard to the semiconductor industry, corporate culture, business philosophy, products and services, etc. This will help you have a better understanding of Winbond and the job opening.
Interviews may be in the form of face-to-face or virtual interviews.
  • Virtual Interview:
    • If you are using a mobile phone or tablet, please download Microsoft Teams App
    • If you are using a computer, please install Microsoft Teams software or use web version. Either way you should register and provide your account ID to your recruiter in advance.
    Tips
    • It is recommended that you use headphones to avoid poor reception or environmental interference. This will ensure you a more smooth call and interview.
    • Try play around with the Teams interface and functions before the interview. If you have work related materials, you can showcase to the hiring manager through sharing screen.
  • Face-to-face Interview:
    • In the interview invitation e-mail, we attach the link to Google Map for you to arrange your route, estimated traffic time, and way of transportation. Our office in Taipei, Hsinchu, and Kaohsiung are located nearby the public transportation stations within 10 minutes walk. If you intend to come here by driving, please check with the recruiter to see if there is a parking lot or public.
    • Please be sure to notify your recruiter as early as possible prior to the interview if you need to reschedule due to reasons beyond your control so that adjustments can be made.
    Tips
    • You may bring your job-related profile for the reference of hiring manager.
    • It is suggested to arrive 10 minutes earlier prior to the interview. Arriving too early may extend your time waiting.
How to prepare for interview questions
  • You can start with a brief self-introduction, telling us about your strengths and accomplishments, why you are a good fit for the job, and why you desire to join Winbond. Of course, we also encourage you to share your failures and lessons learned; by learning about the mistakes you've made in school or at work, we can get more insight into your problem-solving abilities.
  • You are always welcome to ask questions during the interview, which not only shows your initiative and preparedness. Answering your questions gives us the opportunity to discover more about Winbond.
